Management and all employees are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is necessary for the safety excellence the company expects.
Management supports the coordination of safety among all employees on the job site and commits to working in a spirit of consultation and cooperation with its employees in achieving a safe and helpful work environment.
Castone Construction promotes participation by all employees in the safety program and provides proper equipment, training, and safety procedures. Employees must protect their own health and safety and the safety of their fellow employees by following company best practices, safety policies, safe work practices, the OH&S act, applicable regulations, and standards. Working safely, reporting hazards and improving safety measures is a responsibility and duty of all employees. It is everyone’s responsibility to immediately report to management, supervisor, or safety officer any hazardous conditions, injury, incident, near miss, or illness related to the workplace.
Castone Construction acknowledges that violence in the workplace is an occupational health and safety hazard that can cause physical and emotional harm we view any acts of violence or threats of violence in the workplace as unacceptable. We are committed to working to prevent workplace violence and to responding appropriately if workplace violence does occur all employees of the company are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
Our goal is to have an injury an incident free workplace. Castone Construction reviews this policy every year with a JOHS committee and employees to ensure it remains current with the workplace legislation.
