Castone is currently hiring a Cabinet Shop Carpenter to join our team in Dartmouth.

This is a hands-on, full-time role based primarily out of our cabinet shop, which is equipped with a CNC machine, edge bander, paint booth, and the tools needed to cut, build, and finish commercial cabinetry and millwork.

You’ll work alongside experienced shop leads and contribute to every stage of production, from material handling and assembly to finishing, packaging, and delivery.

No previous cabinetry experience is required. What matters most is a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn. If you take pride in your work, show up ready to contribute, and want to build a career in the trades, we’d like to hear from you.

About the Position

Castone Construction is currently hiring 2 experienced Roofers to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The successful candidates will construct, repair, and maintain safe and durable roofing systems using a variety of materials, tools, and equipment. Experience as a roofer is required, and candidates must be comfortable working at heights, on ladders and scaffolds, and in various weather conditions.

Job Duties

• Build roofs using various materials and tools
• Deliver projects within established timelines
• Inspect roof damage and estimate costs of labour
• Repair or replace broken or damaged roofing materials
• Remove debris from roofs to prepare surfaces for new materials
• Smooth roof surfaces and fill edges with cement
• Ensure roofs adequately protect buildings from weather conditions, including rain and snow
• Use hand tools and other equipment, including scaffolds and ladders
• Follow all workplace health and safety rules and procedures
• Set up vapour barriers and vents
• Install insulation and solar energy systems
• Restock roofing materials, including clay and cement
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work safely and efficiently while meeting project timelines

Skills, Education and Experience

• 2 years of experience as a roofer is required
• Apprenticeship or licence in roofing or a relevant field is an asset
• Experience in carpentry is an asset but not required
• Willingness to learn and receive training in carpentry and roofing in a safe manner
• Experience using various hand tools and equipment, including scaffolds and ladders
• Physical strength and good balance
• Ability to work at heights for extended periods
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team

Safety Requirements

• WHMIS, OHS, and First Aid are required and may be provided on the job
• Full safety training and orientation are required before work can commence
• Employees must follow all company and workplace safety policies and procedures
