2Crows is a unique vision that we are proud to call our first brewery ever in downtown Halifax. We were ready to take on this project at full stream, and as a design build, we were responsible for not only the build, but hiring an engineer and an architect for design and analyses.
The original quote of the job was fair, however we ran into structural issues that ended up costing more than the original bid. We then had to collaborate as a team with the owners and find a price everyone was happy with. Completing the build in downtown Halifax was a unique challenge – loading heavy equipment on and off the street became difficult.
With all the bumps this project gave us, it proved we were an efficient team and was still able to complete the project before last call. The owners are as pleased with the outcome as we are.
Working with Castone was a great experience. They were always present, always involved, and made sure the job was done right.
